Hong Kong: New leading US maritime law firm Blank Rome Maritime (BRM) plans to further build on the Hong Kong office of specialist shipping lawyers Healy & Baillie, which were recently merged into the Blank Rome group to form BRM. The extended reach offered by H&B's HK office was a major attraction in the tie-up, BRM boss Mike Dyer tells Seatrade. For its part H&B points out that it has been representing clients from across Asia for decades and, with the resources Blank Rome can provide, 'expects to see far greater growth in the years ahead.' John Kimball, former H&B chairman and now a BRM partner, tells Seatrade:'We are planning for some immediate, albeit measured, expansion in our Hong Kong office.' [09/10/06]
