Ian El-Mokadem joins the owner of the world’s largest ship manager as ceo coming from testing and advisory company Evoxa where he was chief executive.
Meanwhile Martin Gaard Christensen has been appointed as coo of V.Group having previously held the post of ceo for Asia Pacific at Wrist Ship Supply, prior to which he worked for the AP Moller-Maersk group for 25 years.
“The appointment of two such high calibre business leaders is testament to V.Group’s ambitions to consolidate its position as the global market leader in its sector,” said John Pattullo, chairman of V.Group.
“Their leadership, coupled with the recent completion of Advent International’s investment in the business, marks a critical new juncture in V.Group’s development.”
Haris Kyriakopoulos, a director at Advent International commented: “Ian’s experience of leading a global services provider, coupled with Martin’s expertise of driving commercialisation in the maritime sector is the ideal fit for V.Group as it enters the next stage of its development.”
