Along with ship management arm V.Ships the company’s new office and training centre in the crewing capital of the world, covers five floors with 6,700 sq m space in the Aseana City district in Manila.
V.Group said 1,000 seafarers came to register with the group on the opening day at its crew management suite. The offices accommodate a workforce of 270 employees.
V.Group/V.Ships representative in the Philippines, Jamie Stewart said: “These new offices will increase our capacity to manage and train seafarers with a wide range of skills to the highest international standards. We are now able to offer a service facility which is second to none and includes recruitment, technical training, culinary training, operations, commercial, purchasing, technical support and IT which positions the Group at the heart of not only Asia, but the global shipping community.”
Training facilities in the new centre include a full mission bridge and engine room simulator, a culinary and hospitality instruction centre.
Included in the new office complex are V.Group’s long standing local partners Pacific Ocean Manning, North Sea Marine, V.Manpower and Kestral Shipping Inc. who continue to support the company’s growth in the region.
