VIDEO INTERVIEW: Wide capability sets aquaBOLL apart
With increasing concerns about water, filtration company Boll & Kirch believes new and innovative water treatment solutions will be needed in future.

It has chosen to premiere its aquaBOLL product at this year’s Marintec China because the show is the largest maritime event in the Asia-Pacific and reaches a wide audience. As China is an important market for the maritime industry, the show is also one of the most important ones for the company to showcase its new products as well as the ones it is producing in its China factory.

“The aquaBOLL concept is not only a filter but it’s an integral concept from Boll & Kirch in Germany,” said head of water filtration Frank Zichel. Elaborating, he explained that it combines fine and coarse filtration into one product. This ranges from the very fine at 10 microns to a coarser 5mm, making it very adaptable for many applications.

While the product is currently exclusively produced in Germany, there are plans to start production at its BOLLFILTER China Manufacturing facilities in China from 2018.

Boll & Kirch strongly believes that the aquaBOLL is the best automatic filter ever designed and really is a world first. Its can significantly increase overall efficiency of plants by optimising functionality and innovative adaptability for filtration and cleaning performance.

Zichel hopes that the company will be able to generate increased interest in its products at Marintec China, especially for various onboard applications.
