Hanoi: Many state owned enterprises in Vietnam are set for dramatic overhauls by the government, none more so than the loss making Vietnam Shipbuilding Corporation (Vinashin). The bloated organization has become a major target of the government's pledge to streamline state run bodies and local newspaper, Lao Dong, reports that many of Vinashin's subsidiaries are about to be handed over to oil monopoly, Petrovietnam and the national shipping corporation, Vinalines.
