Singapore: Wärtsilä and Ecospec have signed an agreement to work together on developing clean power solutions. Under the memorandum of understanding, Wärtsilä is responsible for integrating Ecospec's CSNOx system, an emissions abatement technology, into various engine applications. This includes the engineering, installation, supervision, project management, and commissioning of the system for both newbuildings and retrofits. Ecospec will supply the key components of the system. "Emissions control is an area that is developing very rapidly, and this co-operation with Ecospec will help us to continue our leading role in this field," said Juha Kytölä, vice president, product centre Ecotech of Wärtsilä. "Ecospec has always been on the lookout for suitable organisations with whom we could develop strategic alliances for the various technologies we have developed," said Tany Tay, general manager of Ecospec.
