Singapore: Jurong Shipyard has awarded Wärtsilä the contract to supply main generating engines and thrusters for the six new drill ships to be built at its Jurong Aracruz yard in Estaleiro, Brazil.

The Jurong Aracruz shipyard is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore based Sembcorp Marine and will build the vessels for Sete Brasil, an
investment company that manages asset portfolios in the oil and gas sector. The assets will be operated by Seadrill and Odfjell.

The first deliveries of equipment are scheduled for 2013 and the first vessel is scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2015.
