The 14,000 teu One Minato was built at Imabari’s Hiroshima yard and is painted in the new container line’s distinctive magenta colouring.
The 14,000 teu vessel was originally ordered by K Line, one of the three partners in the ONE joint venture, and was planned to be named Minato Bridge.
ONE a merger of the container line businesses of NYK, Mitsui OSK Lines and K Line started operations on 1 April this year and is operationally headquartered in Japan. It is the world's sixth largest container line.
