World Shipping Summit 2010 heads to Guangzhou

Qingdao: Next year's COSCO-organised World Shipping Summit will be held in the southern Chinese port city of Guangzhou. The seventh edition of the so-called "Davos of shipping" will change months to December to coincide with the southern Chinese shipping exhibition, INMEX. The event will be held at Guangzhou's Shangri-la Hotel. Around 800 people flocked to Qingdao this week for the sixth edition of the World Shipping Summit, which closed today. 'I believe next year more than 1,000 participants will gather in Guangzhou,' commented COSCO ceo and president Capt Wei Jiafu (pictured).  [13/11/09]
