WSS pens safety service agreement in Japan
Tokyo: Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) has signed its first two-year fleet Safety Service Agreement valued at $300,000 with a Japanese principal.

The agreement, covering 25 panamaxes and capesize bulk carriers and 18 product carriers on behalf of Tokyo-based Victoria Ship Management, provides a standardised service covering a client's fleet, offering fixed prices for inspection at agreed ports covering fixed systems and portable equipment.

The agreement also provides a single point of contact for clients, with customer support in local languages in the same time zone as the client.

WSS said its customers will get predictable pricing, service due date monitoring and service visits to be consolidated into one or two visits annually, all of which increases customer's efficiency and cost savings.
