Singapore: Singapore mainboard-listed Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has won a US$1.4 billion contract from China's Cosco Container Lines to build twenty 4,250 teu container ships. This includes options for four ships.
The vessels are to be delivered between 2011 and 2012.
This is the largest deal the China-based shipbuilder has received this year.
Yangzijiang said the contract is not expected to have a significant impact on its earnings this year. [24/12/07]
