Zhejiang to build 10 offshore vessels for Bourbon

Shanghai: China's Sinopacific Group subsidiary Zhejiang Shipyard has signed a contract with French shipowner Bourbon for the construction of 10 offshore vessels, for delivery during 2010 - 2012. The vessels will each be fitted with a large Hydramarine Active Heave Compensated (AHC) crane (pictured), all of which will be built by MacGREGOR's Offshore division - Hydramarine's facility in Singapore. This marks the single biggest order in the history of Norway-headquartered Hydramarine.

Bourbon operates a fleet of 236 owned vessels that cater to the marine offshore oil and gas sectors.  [19/02/08]
