Shanghai: China-based Zhoushan Jinhaiwan Shipyard has confirmed that it is to build two 176,000dwt vessels for Bermuda based Golden Ocean Group. The vessels, which are worth $145m, are scheduled for delivery by mid-2010.
Golden Ocean has also announced that it is to sell its two options at South Korea-based Daehan Shipbuilding to Knightsbridge Tankers. These vessels, worth $162m, are to be delivered in June and September 2009 respectively. The group is expected to earn an estimated $3.2m for brokering the deal. [10/05/07]
