Hong Kong: Israel-based ZIM's recently established East-West Express Service (EWX), connecting Asian and North European ports, is to include a call Hong Kong on its westbound schedule to Europe beginning April 18th.
The ZIM EWX service westbound schedule will therefore include the following ports: Shanghai (CN), Xiamen (CN), Hong Kong (CN), Shekou (CN), Port Kelang (MY), Bremerhaven (DE), Tilbury (UK), Antwerp (BE) and Le Havre (FR).
In a statement, the liner company said, "The addition of Hong Kong will further enhance this efficient service between Asia and Northern Europe. The Hong Kong and Shekou calls are conveniently scheduled at the end of the week, another advantage for shippers. ZIM EWX service offers short and reliable transit times in this major trade lane, and serves various other Asian and European origins and destination through ZIM's extensive regional services."
ZIM currently offers a total of seven weekly services between Asia and Europe. [08/04/08]
