ZIM opens Vietnam agency

Hanoi: Israel based liner operator ZIM has opened a new agency office, ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Vietnam, in Vietnam last week. It's three offices, located in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Haiphong "will provide shipping and logistic services to the rapidly growing trade in the region."

The company believes that Vietnam's accession to the WTO in January will spearhead growth in the country. In a statement, ZIM said, "Vietnam, whose GDP growth rate of 8.2% is one of the fastest in the world, is at the same time experiencing containerized growth exceeding 20%."  [16/08/07]
