Jerusalem: Beginning this month, Israeli container line ZIM's East Africa service will operate three vessels on a 10-day frequency calling at Durban - Mombasa - Djibouti - Mombasa - Durban, with a round trip of approximately 30 days. The port of Djibouti functions as a relay hub for cargoes from Asia, Europe, the Mediterranean and America, by connecting to ZIM's network through the Far East Mediterranean Express Service (FMX).
The East Africa service will also operate a feeder service from the ports of Nacala and Beira for cargo to/from Mozambique and port Durban for cargo from of Dar Es Salaam. The feeder's transit time between Durban and Dar-Es-Salaam is 3 days, with a frequency of 15 days. The Feeder's rotation will be Durban - Dar Es Salaam - Nacala/Beira - Durban. [08/01/08]
