Mumbai: Zim Integrated Shipping Services is reported to have pulled out of its Indian routes in an effort to reduce costs. According to Port2Port, local sources said that Zim has made the decision to pull out of the Indian Subcontinent Europe Service (ISES) consortium, and will remove two 3,500teu ships out of the current seven that ply the line.

The ISES consortium, whose members include the Shipping Corporation of India, "K" Line, Yang Ming, and MISC Berhad, may chose to continue the operating the service without Zim. [30/12/08]
