The top five largest bunker suppliers in Singapore last year have remained unchanged, with homegrown Sentek Marine & Trading in number two, followed by Transocean Oil, SK Energy International and fifth spot Shell Eastern Trading.

BP has retained its number one position in Singapore for the 11th consecutive year, contributing to the total annual bunker sales of 42.4m metric tonnes in the country in 2014. The individual sales volumes by each of the companies were not revealed by MPA.

Tankoil Marine Services, in number six spot last year compared to a ranking of 66th in 2012, made headlines in recent months due to its involvement in an alleged $125m fraud at Dynamic Oil Trading, subsidiary of the now-defunct OW Bunker.

OW Bunker Far East improved its Singapore standing to 11th last year from 13th position in 2013.
