Bunker trading firm Dan-Bunkering has formed a joint venture with Australian Bunkers for physical supplies in Buenaventura, Colombia, to develop and strengthen its physical presence in Latin America.

Dan-Bunkering said it will handle all sales and provide risk management while Australian Bunkers, who has been present in the area of Buenaventura since 1998, will handle the sourcing, blending, supply and storage of the products.

“The strategic location is perfect and will increase our physical network in Latin America, moreover the timing is ideal,” Pedro Gomez, general manager of Dan-Bunkering (Chile) SpA, said, adding that a full range of marine products will be offered at Buenaventura port.
