The company has invited shipping companies to submit expression of interest (EOI) for LNG bunkering services in Panama as it prepares to launch operations in March 2025.

The company issued a notice to all shipping agents, vessel owners, and operators of LNG-powered vessels transiting the Panama Canal or calling at ports on the Atlantic side of Panama, to and open discussions with potential clients to reserve bunkering slots and negotiate contract terms and conditions, including service scope, operational details, supply logistics, and pricing.

The deadline to submit the EOI is 15 November 2024, and agreements between the parties are expected to be signed in January 2025.

LNG bunkering operations in Panama are scheduled to commence in March 2025.

As part of this initiative, Seaspan will deploy its newbuild 7,600 cu metre LNG bunkering vessel Seaspan Garibaldi. Following the delivery, the vessel set sail to Vancouver to load its first cargo and finalise commissioning.
