Three dead, three missing after cargoship sinks off Zhoushan

Three people dead and three are still missing after a cargoship sank in the Zhoushan sea area, Zhejiang province.

The cargoship, registered in Lianyungang, Jiangsu province, sank while sailing in the northern side of the sea area of Dayushan, Zhoushan.

All the six crew on the vessel were thrown overboard when the vessel sank. Three of the crew have been confirmed dead and the others three remain missing. Zhejiang Maritime Bureau had assigned over 20 ships for search and rescue operations.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
