In its first annual meeting in March 2021, Sea Cargo Charter appointed 13 members to its board, including formally electing the chair and vice-chair who served in interim positions during the formation of the association.
Sea Cargo Charter aims to promote decarbonization of shipping by providing a framework to benchmark the climate alignment of chartering activities.
Trafigura’s Rasmus Bach Nielsen will serve as vice-chair of the steering committee.
The board comprises significant charters including ADM, COFCO International, Maersk Tankers, Norden, Louis Dreyfus, Total, Anglo American, Dow, Equinor and Klaveness.
