Rapidly growing China United Lines (CULines) has appointed former Hapag-Lloyd senior executive Lars Christiansen as the Co-CEO of the company with immediate effect.

Christiansen is a highly experienced liner shipping executive who has worked for Hapag-Lloyd, UASC and Maersk Line. His last position was as Senior Managing Director Region Asia for Hapag-Lloyd until mid-2020 when he returned to Denmark for personal reasons.

CULines has seen rapid growth during the past year as it has moved into the mainline and expanded in the intra-Asia trades. The company has successfully expanded into European, US and Middle East markets.

“At this crucial time, Christiansen taking the role of Co-CEO will be a driving force leading CULines towards further international and professional development,” said CULines.
