CIMC Financial Leasing, a unit of CIMC, announced that the containerships will be chartered to MSC for 17 years at $25,000 a day. The shipyard is New Times Shipbuilding in China.

The latest deal follows a $425m order in July by CIMC for five 8,800 teu boxships built at the same Chinese yard, and another deal for seven similar ships priced at $895m each, built at Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Corp.
