CMA CGM bolstering West Africa services with WAZZAN

CMA CGM is launching a new service, WAZZAN, to improve its intra-Africa offerings and connect Morocco to North West Africa.

Transhipment calls connecting Mauritania, Senegal and Morocco will be replaced by direct calls, improving transit times by eight days.

The new service also develops reefer container capabilities in Nouadhibou, Mauritania, enabling fish exports to within Africa and to worldwide markets.

Three ships will serve the weekly route, each of 1,100 teu and on the rotation: Casablanca, Algeciras, Tangiers, Nouakchott, Dakar, Nouadhibou, Las Palmas, Casablanca.
