Hydra Shipping and Syra Shipping have ordered one boxship each at a price of $25m apiece, CSBC said in a regulatory filing to the stock exchange.

The newbuildings are scheduled to be delivered in the second and third quarters of 2015 respectively.

The Taipei-listed shipyard has recently reported a drop in consolidated sales in 2013 due largely to the downturn of the global shipbuilding industry.

CSBC posted NT$24.89bn ($831.05m) in consolidated sales in 2013, down 19.6% year-on-year.
