Chinese container service carrier China United Lines (CU Lines) is upgrading its transpacific service from Yantian International Container Terminal (YICT).

The weekly service will provide a 16-day directly sailing from YICT to LA, with the line deploying seven 4,250 teu containerships with secured berth arrangements at terminals.

Besides South China, the service also accepts transhipment cargos from Thailand (Bangkok/Laem Chabang), Vietnam (Haiphong/Ho Chi Minh), Taiwan (Taichung, Keelung, Kaohsiung), India, and the Middle East.

The upgraded transpacific will serve as an express for the export of high-value cargoes such as electronic products, mechanical equipment, and garments in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Great Bay Area, establishing a maritime logistics channel connecting YICT and the South China region at large with the US West Coast, said CU Lines.
