Former Maersk cfo who quit in 2018 paid close to $1m last year

Former AP Moller – Maersk cfo Jacob Strausholm, who quit March 2018, was paid close a $1m salary by the Danish shipping last year.

Revealing executive pay in its annual report released on Thursday Maersk showed that Strausholm, who left the role of cfo on 31 March 2018 would continue to receive his base salary until the end of March 2020. Last year he was paid DNK6.91m ($998,000) by Maersk.

His replacement, Carolina Dybeck Happe, who joined as cfo at the beginning of 2019 and quit before the year was out, received a DNK3.44m sign-on payment in addition to a DNK10m salary and DNK5.59m short-term incentive.

Current Maersk ceo Soren Skou, received a total renumeration, including bonuses and shares of DNK38.02m ($5.49m) in 2019.

Former coo Soren Toft, who quit last year to join rival MSC, and was relieved of his duties from 30 November 2019, will continue to be paid his base salary of DNK8.3m annually till 30 November this year.
