Four lines launch SE Asia, Middle East, Western India service

Regional Container Lines (RCL), Emirates Shipping Lines (ESL), China United Lines (CU Lines) and Global Feeder Shipping (GFS) are launching a new service connecting Southeast Asia, Middle East and Western India.

The lines are deploying two 5,000 teu vessels on the weekly service calling Ho Chi Minh City, Laem Chabang, Port Klang, Sohar, Jebel Ali, Nhava Sheva, Port Klang, and Ho Chi Minh City.

The service branded as RGA by RCL will start on 6 June, and the line is deploying the vessel Vira Bhum on the service.

An RCL spokesperson said, “The new RGA will improve its connections between the Middle East and Western India with the Far East, complementing RCL’s existing China-Gulf service. With the call at Ho Chi Minh & Laem Chabang, our customers can load direct into Jebel Ali, Sohar and from Jebel Ali, Sohar can also load to Nhava Sheva while customers from Jebel Ali & Nhava Sheva will have a direct sailing into Ho Chi Minh and Laem Chabang the key destinations for Arabian and Indian export”.
