With NCI (New China-Indonesia) launching on 3 April at China's Qingdao port, Hanjin Shipping will be jointly operating with T.S. Lines and KMTC to run a weekly service with four of 2,500 teu container vessels deployed by the partner carriers.

Additionally, Hanjin Shipping is adding JIS (Japan-Indonesia Service) and JIE (Japan Indonesia Express) to its network at the end of this month. Both JIS and JIE are jointly operated by NYK and K Line.

The existing JIS will undergo some changes in port coverage and rotation effective 27 March and JIE will be newly introduced from 28 March. Four of 2,500-2,900 teu container vessels will be deployed in these services respectively and Hanjin Shipping will be participating through space swap program.

Hanjin Shipping believed that the introduction of these services will “enhance their network and market presence in the Indonesian market where demand is rapidly growing along with the economic development.”
