Maersk announced the appointment of Silvia Ding, the current Chief Transformation Officer, as the new President for the Greater China region.

Silvia Ding has held various management positions in China before becoming the Managing Director of Maersk Filipinas in 2010. She then became Regional Chief Financial Officer for Maersk Line North Asia Region,Managing Director of Maersk Line South China, Vice President and Managing Director of Maersk Line Greater China, and  Global Head of Ocean Products for Maersk Line in Copenhagen Denmark.

“Silvia has taken positions in Greater China for over 15 years. She is very passionate about the Greater China market and the potentials in global trading from Chinese clients. Greater China is a crucial market for Maersk, we believe Silvia will be a great leader to implement the company’s strategy,” said Ditlev Blicher, President of Maersk Asia Pacific.

Silvia is going to take over the role from the first day of 2024.
