MSC upgrades intra-Asia services

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) is revamping its intra-Asia network to provide shorter transit times between China and Southeast Asia.

Changes will be made to the existing four services for Seagull, Orchid, Seahorse and New Origami, offering more competitive transit times between China and Southeast Asia, particularly from China to Vietnam and Thailand and new direct connections between China and Malaysia.

The company said the newly updated services will further strengthen MSC’s position in the growing intra-Asia market and will link seamlessly to its global ocean liner network, as well as to the inland and barge services within the Asia region.

The new services will start at the end of April.
