The service will initially deploy two 2,500 teu NileDutch vessels calling at the South American ports of Buenos Aires, Rio Grande, Itajai, Santos and Rio de Janeiro, and the West African ports of Lomé, Pointe Noire and Luanda.

In August, coverage will then be increased to a combination of two NileDutch and two CMA CGM vessels, each with a capacity of 4,250 teu.

The move is typical of recent investments in Africa by CMA CGM, which recently launched two new services “Rhino Express” and “Noura Express”, bought a 25% stake in a Nigerian box terminal development, and became the first line to call at Buchanan port, in Liberia, for 20 years.
