China’s Qinhuangdao Port Co has updated that container handling volumes at Qinhuangdao port have risen in the first six months of this year compared to the year-ago period.

Qinhuangdao port, located in northeastern China, recorded throughput of 275,142 teu in the first half ended 30 June 2017, an increase of 15.6% compared with 237,929 teu in the same period of last year.

Hong Kong-listed Qinhuangdao Port has anticipated a surge in first half profit in view of improved activities at its ports, in line with increased container handling volumes.
