SeaLead appoints new head for US
Container line SeaLead have continued changes to their top management with Mark Lee hired to run US operations.
Lee has been appointed as SeaLead’s Managing Director USA after Cas Pouderoyen stepped down from the position.
Taking up the role Lee brings with him 28 years-experience including with Hanjin Shipping and SM Line. Most recently, he was the Executive Managing Director for South Korea at OEC Group.
He joins at a time when SeaLead is planning to boost its capacity on the Asia – US trade. “This is an opportune time for SeaLead, and I look forward to working with our team to further establish our presence in this important market,” Lee said.
Recently promoted Suleyman Avci, Global CEO of SeaLead, noted, “We are confident in extending SeaLead’s capabilities and reach with the appointment of Mark Lee. Mark brings a wealth of knowledge in liner shipping, making him well-suited to drive our efforts in the USA and help execute our ambitious plans.”
A new board of directors was also announced last month.
The new appointments follow a change in ownership for SeaLead in February this year when it was acquired by Eurasia Capital, HCP Investments, Access Capital Funds, and Saral Incorp. VCC SubFund.
SeaLead was founded in 2017 and according to analysts Alphaliner is the world’s 16th largest container line.
