Singapore-headquartered container line SeaLead is set to launch its new Dubai, Karachi to East Africa (DUKE) service on Christmas eve.

The first sailing of the DUKE service will depart Karachi in Pakistan on 24 December and will link with the key transhipment of Jebel Ali, Dubai and onwards to Mombasa, Kenya.

Shiva Mahadevan, SeaLead Regional Managing Director, South Asia, Middle East and Africa, SeaLead, commented: “The DUKE service is a step forward in our strategy to expand into Pakistan while strengthening our presence in the Middle East and East Africa. The company noted the strong trade connections between the UAE and Pakistan with a bilateral trade volume reaching $5.6 billion during the fiscal year 2023–24
