Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG) and domestic container logistics company Antong Holding have inked strategic cooperation agreement to boost inland container shipping.

Under the agreement the agreement SIPG and Antong will jointly promote the development of the domestic trade business at Shanghai Port.

The two parties plan to develop comprehensive cooperation on domestic container vessel operation, port logistics, distribution and digital construction to further optimise logistics industry’s transformation and upgrading. 

Shanghai port and Antong previously cooperated on various sectors across container logistics sector.

The Luojing container terminal Phase one project at Shanghai port, jointly developed by SIPG and Antong, has commenced operation in late 2024, which is expected to be constructed as a major port area servicing for domestic container business of Shanghai port.
