The body of the fourth out of 11 crew missing from the Bourbon Rhode, which sunk in the Atlantic last Thursday, was recovered yesterday and transferred to the French Navy frigate Ventôse.
The search for the remaining seven missing seafarers continues.
“Despite significant search resources for the rescue of the crew, the fate of the missing is an ever-increasing source of anxiety for the families. We remain fully mobilized to pursue relief operations and reiterate our warm thanks to all the teams that have volunteered and are helping us in our search," said Bourbon crisis cell director Cyrille Le Bris.
Of the 14 crew onboard the Bourbon Rhode three were rescued from a lifeboat, four bodies have been recovered, seven remain missing.

The Bourbon Rhode was in transit around 1,200 nm from Martinique and 60 nm from the category 4 hurricane Lorenzo on 26 September when it developed an ingress of water in the rear of the vessel resulting in it sinking.
