New Covid regulations by Korea for crew coming from China portsNew Covid regulations by Korea for crew coming from China ports
South Korea has introduced Covid testing and quarantine for crew coming from Chinese ports that want to disembark or take shore leave.

As the number of Covid infections in China surges after the country dropped its zero-Covid policy South Korea has introduced measures for travellers arriving by both sea and land from country.
In the case of seafarers ship agents GAC said that under new regulations: “Due to the surge of Covid infections, crew disembarking or taking shore leave at Korean ports from vessels whose last port of call was in China must undergo a PCR test and quarantine for one day.”
A negative PCR test result is required before a seafarer can disembark the vessel. The testing requirement only applies to vessels coming from ports in China.
The new regulations come at a time when restrictions on crew change and shore leave had finally normalised in most countries post-pandemic.
