PSA Marine Qalhat achieves all Omani crew

PSA Marine's Oman joint venture has achieved all local marine crew.

PSA Marine Qalhat, a joint venture between Singapore's PSA Marine and Golden Dunes International has had all achieved 100% Omanisation of its 51 crew from this month.

It has taken three years for PSA Marine Qualhat to achieve all Omani crew since it started terminal towage operations at Oman LNG in January 2015 with four ASD tugs. When the joint venture started out half its crew were Omani

“Together with the partnership with and support from Oman LNG, PSA Marine Qalhat has accomplished 100% Omanisation of our marine crew. This achievement demonstrates PSA Marine Qalhat’s commitment in transferring knowledge to the local community and enhancing the In-Country Value in Oman,” said Gunalan Letchumanan, gm of PSA Marine Qalhat.

Omanisation is an Oman government programme to nationalise its workforce.
