When it comes to decarbonisation in shipping much of the talk is around new technology, engines and the availability of alternative fuels. But for these alternative fuelled vessels to work there is a very vital piece of the puzzle – trained crews to operate them. The key role of the seafarer in shipping’s decarbonisation voyage led to the formation of the Maritime Just Transition Task Force.
