China Merchants Energy Shipping is to charter two new bulk carriers to balance the company's fleet structure.

The company has inked long-term chartering agreement for two new 210,000 dwt bulk carriers which are scheduled for delivery in 2026.

China Merchants Energy Shipping has recently invested and constructed 10 new bulk carriers to optimise its fleet structure. Chartering of the new same type of vessels will further support the company's ability to meet future market demand and supply, said China Merchants Energy Shipping.

The new vessels will be deployed on ore imports upon delivery.
