HFW continues Singapore shipping practice growth with Chris Metcalf hire
Law firm HFW is continuing to beef up its Singapore shipping practice with the hire of partner Christopher Metcalf from Clyde & Co.
An expert in dry bulk shipping Metcalf joins the firm this month. As well as dry bulk shipping his practice spans spans a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters in the shipping, offshore and oil and gas sectors, including charter party, COA, bills of lading and other commercial agreements.
Toby Stephens, head of shipping for HFW in Singapore commented: "Chris is one of the top shipping lawyers in Singapore and I'm thrilled to welcome him to the team. He brings considerable dry shipping expertise to complement our existing strength in wet shipping and ship finance, and further enhances our ability to offer specialist advice to clients across the shipping and maritime industry."
The hire of Metcalf by HFW in Singapore follows the recent news that veteran Singapore shipbroker Chris Jones would be joining the firm as a senior consultant.
