Nantong Xiangyu bags six bulk carrier order from Jiuhua Shipping

Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering has entered into shipbuilding contract for six new 79,000dwt bulk carriers with domestic owner Jiuhua Shipping.

The two companies, and Xiamen Port Management Authority, have established a collaboration to jointly develop shipping and logistics services, including the construction of six 79,000dwt bulk carriers, which will be deployed based in Xiamen. 

At the beginning of 2021, Jiuhua Shipping ordered one plus one 79,900dwt bulk carriers from Nantong Xiangyu. The new deal is brings Jiuhua's total bulk carrier orderbook at Xiangyu to eight vessels. 

Anhui-based Jiuhua Shipping, is also planning to expand its footprint to Xiamen taking the opportunity of this newbuilds project cooperated with Nantong Xiangyu and Xiamen Port Management Authority.
