Sinotrans & CSC Phoenix buys bulker for $9.4m

Sinotrans & CSC Phoenix has inked a contract to acquire a bulk carrier from domestic shipping company Ningbo Haiyue Shipping at the cost of RMB65.73m ($9.44m).

The 50,000 dwt bulk carrier, built in 2003, is in 189.99 m length, 32.26 m width, and classed by China Classification Society (CCS).

The vessel will be delivered at the berth of Zhoushan Ouhua Shipbuilding, but the delivery date has not been confirmed yet due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Sinotrans & CSC Phoenix is one of the largest inland river bulk carrier owners in China. The self-owned bulk carrier fleet capacity of the company is 1.8m dwt.
