Bajpaee, a man who took a philosophical view on the world of ship management and appiled to his day-to-day work, has been at BSM for over 27 years and will become non-executive chairman from 1 January 2015.
“Having worked in the industry for over 40 years and seen firsthand the evolution of third party shipmanagement from a fledgling business into the professional, highly respected industry that it is today, it is the appropriate time for me to take on a supporting role," Bajpaee commented.
“Norbert has progressive thinking with a keen eye on the future and a track record of effective leadership. Coming from a seafaring background, he brings a rich experience of third party shipmanagement with a ship owning perspective at senior management level.”
Aschmann added: “I am delighted to be taking over as ceo and would like to thank Rajaish for his support since I joined as Deputy ceo in October 2013.
