The Norwegian owner is to sell the 8,500 cu m Norgas Petaluma for $24m to Gasmar, a Norwegian company set up by Pareto with international investors.
IMS will charter the vessel back for a five-year bareboat fixed rate plus profit share charter for a five-year period.
Net cashflow from the sale will be $19.2m, which will be used to pay down debt from the vessel.
