The first of the MR2s, expected to be delivered in the third quarter 2013, has been chartered out for four years at $15,356 per day plus 100% index-based profit, up to $20,475 per day. The base and ceiling rates for the charter will increase 2% per annum.
The vessel is expected to generate $3.2m annual base EBITDA for the first year.
The three other vessels, due for delivery throughout 2014, have secured two year charters at $14,319 per day plus 50% profit sharing. Each vessel is expected to generate approximately $2.8m base EBITDA.
The recent signings bring Navios' contracted out days to 92.1% of available days for 2013 and 60.4% for 2014 and the fleet's average charter length to 2.4 years.
