Finland’s refiner Neste Corporation has made 0.5% sulphur marine fuel available in Bremerhaven, Germany in response to the upcoming IMO 2020 global regulation.

Neste’s latest move is a partnership with compatriot BMT Bunker und Mineraloltransport GmbH (BMT) for distribution and sales of the low sulphur fuel named Neste MarineTM 0.5.

BMT is a bunkering services firm in the sales of marine fuels with a focus in the North Sea coast in Germany.

“We are truly delighted that BMT is our marine fuel channel partner in Northwestern Europe. They share our passion for cleaner shipping and have the ability to distribute Neste Marine 0.5 to global shipping companies operating via Bremerhaven,” said Sveta Ukkonen, head of marine fuels and services at Neste.
