Servowatch brings naval integration systems to commercial shipping
UK-based Servowatch, long-time provider of integrated marine automation systems to naval and coastguard vessels, is making a move into the commercial maritime sector with its ServoCore Alarm, Monitoring and Control (AMC) unit.

ServoCore is a “low cost commercial system,” offering a range of vessel automation and system integration options. “Servocore is a real winner for shipbuilders,” said Martyn Dickinson, director of sales at Servowatch’s marine business unit. “It is a fit-and-forget, plug in and play system offering shipbuilders faster installation and shorter lead times, since the engineering involved has been significantly reduced.”

For buyers seeking more complex solutions, Servowatch is also offering its tailor-made product, ServoFusion, which offers a much higher degree of integration and automation. The high-end system will integrate as many different systems as are required, with capacity for, in the word of head of R&D Stafford Williams, “all your crazy ideas”.

“Extensive integration enables us to include the data from various ship systems,” said Dickinson. “Propulsion plant, electrical systems, auxiliary machinery, tanking and piping arrangements, tank monitoring systems, HVAC, and safety and security management platforms.”
